Walking in the rain
As a parking lot portrays
No one can stay within lines

I pull up my van
And I am like them
As my vehicle angles off to the right

A long time coming
As my paths reveal
I know very well how to hide

I pull up my phone
And I’m not at home
As the madness in this world invades mine

My life is a bushel of boxes
That are too full to close
And keep the lids inclined

They aren’t filled with clothes
But with memories of the times
I almost left my comfort zone

The vegan dictator scolded
A meat eater for harming
A being with a face

For his own kind
Looked faceless and nameless
And his rules control and bind

He wrote laws forbidding
The harming of animals
Children and eggs

While he tore down
Ideas from minds
Oppressed by mortar shells

He lived as a farmer
Humans and cattle
Grazed with grace gone by

He ruled in fear
That the ones he trampled
Would topple his reign

Veganism here I come!

Beautiful poetic title even though the rain is still running

everyone has ever made a mistake, and the most important thing is we still want any changes.
