Islam (Arabic: الإسلام, translit. Al-islām, About this voice listen) is a religion that believes in one God, God. With more than a quarter of a billion followers around the world, [1] [2] made Islam the second largest religion in the world after Christianity. [3] Islam has the meaning of "surrender", or complete surrender to God (Arabic: الله, Allāh). [4] The followers of Islamic teachings are known as Muslims who mean "one who is subservient to God" [5] [6], or more fully Muslim is for men and Muslims for women. Islam teaches that Allah sent His word to man through His prophets and messengers, and firmly believes that Muhammad is the last prophet and apostle sent to earth by God.
