Rinse the fruit well and sit in cold water (the fruit, not you). Then watch the video.
Cleaning soft fruit in preparation for vacuum packaging and freezing.
White vinegar solution in the water keeps bugs and mould off the fruit.
And how I get all the air out of the bag before freezing.
And I cleaned up after myself!
Why not? It is 115 degrees today with the humidex! I would enjoy the cold water! LOL
I have never used the vinegar solution before, but what I great idea! I will be using this for sure! I often wish I had a little kitchen fairy to clean up after me. I also manage to use more dishes than anyone else when preparing food!
Actually, yes, the dogs and us enjoyed the hose sprinkler yesterday. It's a lot cooler today.
Haha! I'm like that too with regards to cleaning up.
Dance like no one's watching and cook like someone cleans up for you! ;)
LOL. Love that!
They look like berries, if I had those around, I definitely be mixing it up with some banana, pineapple and honey and blending them together making a nice punch....
They're raspberries and loganberries and that punch sounds awesome!
That's how I used to do it when I was doing things like canning and freezing - and it all looks so yummy!
Simple ways are effective :)
An interesting way. I am sure that now the freezing of berries (especially raspberries) is relevant. Usually, I do not do such things, but I will definitely advise my wife to do it your way :) Thanks
It helps because I'm so busy right now. I don't have time to pick, clean and cook / bake with the fruit, so freezing it makes sense. I can use it later.
I have plans to make crumbles, pies, compotes and vinegars - @s0u1 loves raspberry vinegar on his pancakes.
i also like berries fruits and when i eat them, i enjoy it
an interesting post, but What kind of fruit is it ?
Raspberries and loganberries
