I agree wholeheartedly. I have never been afraid to ask questions, even in front of a group of people. I remember a Trainer in a class I took thanking me for asking questions, even though HE knew that I knew the answers. I could see some of the other students didn't quite grasp what he was saying. I asked questions until I saw the lightbulbs go off in their heads. His complementing me was the empowerment I needed to continue asking questions.
