As a person that just came back from my drifting experience I decided to encourage you to try this quite unusual sport as it's probably not like you'd expect

First of all, let's define what is drifting:
Loosely translated, maintaining slide of a car while having a lot of fun

So if it's that simple why wouldn't you try that? You definitely should

Firstly, I'd likely help you understand how rear wheel drive cars behave when you overdo it. Maybe it's not something that will be useful everyday in your life but if you that one time pushed your car too much drifting will clearly help you maintain balance and not worsen your situation

Secondly, It will make a great learning lesson about yourself. Drifting is not something that you can learn in one evening as it requires smooth throttle and steering control and maintaining the balance of the car. You will make slow progress that will definitely sharpen your determination.

Thirdly, it can replace your daily workout. After 15/20 laps you'll be soaking wet after fighting with constant spin-outs, trying to control the balance of the car and not stalling the car.

Fourthly, drifting can definitely lower your stress levels as you can release your anger on the wheels and entire track in safe, controlled environment without any danger to yourself and anyone else. It can also boost your productivity level as it's scientifically proven that physical workout provides oxygen to help your brain work at higher level

Lastly, It can be a lot of fun! Especially with friends, you should gather few of your friends and get to your near drifting track and ask for some drifting experience ;)
