This is surprising. I appreciate your research about this. There are also different views from various researchers. Some atheist believe there is no life after death. They believe they die just like a flying insects. The Muslim believes an angel of death will take the soul of someone when his/her time is up. They further explained that once the dead person is buried, the soul get back to his body after that he/she is awake. Then he begins to face his/her interrogation with the angels. Once he/she is successful, he/she start dreaming about something good and the reverse is the case for a bad person. This means, Muslims believe the soul of the dead will continue to dream till the day of judgement.
