This tree with scientific name (Cassia fistula) also known as the fistula cane, cassia purgante or hojaén, which reaches up to 20 meters in height usually has a trunk of up to half a meter in diameter, with large leaves, alternate, and with a petiole, which are deciduous, with aromatic flowers that hang from an elongated peduncle.
The fruit is the medicinal part, it is an elongated pod that measures 30 to 60 centimeters long and two or three centimeters in diameter, contains a soft pulp of semi-sweet and black color.
INDICATIONS:
Laxative: Take the pulp of the fistula cane , from 20 to 60 grams dissolved in hot or cold water sloshing, it is recommended to take a glass on an empty stomach for one or two days.
Purging: The infusion of the leaves of said tree in doses of 10 grams in a quarter of a liter of water is recommended to take a cup on an empty stomach for 2 to 4 days.
