Man-made super trees

This photo reminded me of the movie Avatar, one of my favorite film ever. This view reminded me of the scene when Jake was lost at the jungle for the firs time... right, that was several years ago, ok below is the scene:

The two images are quite similar in so many ways. To begin, both are man-made, the Supertrees dwells in the physical world while the the one from avatar dwells in the virtual world. The movie Avatar was released on 2009 while the Supertrees was officially opened for viewing three years after the movie. I don't easily jump into conclusion, however it's easy to speculate that the success of the Avatar as a film made a remarkable influence to the designers of this amazing piece of Architecture.

I personally think that there is no right or wrong when it comes to Architecture, in fact I'm a firm believer to the principle of "out of the box" designs. This is probably an exaggerated version of a real tree from nature, and I would prefer to see a century old tree instead of this one. However, looking at this kind of architecture, with eyes drench with amazement, I guess it is never wrong to present a piece of architecture that will satisfy nature at the end.

It is a marvelous view, you should see the light show and be amazed :-)
