Watching BTC charts is hell

For the last three days I fell into that old trap again.

Watching BTC charts like my life depends on it.

It all started with the news I heard that many experts expect a big move in BTC anytime soon.

The price was converging and a breakout is/was imminent! (either up or down).

Well I didn't want to miss this moment.

Bitcoinwisdom is on my second monitor non stop and everywhere I have gone the last three days I have been watching the charts checking if the big moment already happened.

And every little $10 move makes you believe the crash is coming or the moon is in sight within minutes.

Tonight I realised it's driving me nuts. It has put me on edge for no reason!

And I know this feeling so well from the time I still was a day trader (it was the reason I got out).

It's hell.

What a pointless endeavour.

Nowadays I invest long term in projects I believe in. It's much more relaxing.

I have a plan for a longer downtrend or a uptrend so what do I care.

I have wasted 3 days for no reasons.

I am glad I caught myself in time. It's an easy trap to fall into.

Tonight I need my own breakout so I decided to take a nice night of with a film or some games and most likely a glass of red wine.

I'm sure the markets will still be there tomorrow.

When I first started investing in Crypto, I found myself watching the charts every day, pretty much non-stop. I kept telling myself that I couldn't keep that up and eventually I just got out of the habit of checking. I still check it every now and then, but nowhere near as often as I did. There are some days now that I think if something big happened, I wouldn't even know it and I would probably miss my opportunity to sell, but oh well!

The daytrade game is not for many. I am like you, it drives me nuts. You can invest your time better in creating cool content for Steem or build a new Steem dApp.

You got that right!

Hello, my dear friend, I really had many days without visiting, I have been absent for a while, I regret the situation in which you are living now, but I know that everything will recover, the best you can see, with Bianca and Enjoy a good movie, a good beer taro, which is what he likes so much and, of course, his games, and for a moment he forgets everything that is affecting him. Greetings dear friend.

Every thing will be alright ,enjoy your night with your game and drink.Best wishes dear friend.

There’s a very good reason that I’ve never yet daytraded and never will.

I like to be able to sleep at night.

Yeah, that's very good reason!

BTC has died more than 10 times as per the news and papers but keeps coming back. No worries

Did you say wine? I would of chugged the whole bottle by now haha

Haha! I might had more than 1 glass.

I look at it every day, 6800 is all that matters lol. I look at it and then move on back to steemmonsters haha

Yeah, STEEM MONSTERS is a great distraction!

It all started with the news I heard that many experts expect a big move in BTC anytime soon.

Experts lmao!

Whenever I trade for anything it seems like a mistake. I would be the one to trade all of the railroads for Baltic Avenue.

Yeah thats why I'm just running some bots for the daytrade stuff. Let them do the watching 😂.
At first i did that too but lateron went to lending and just bought a coin that multiplied by six. Just relax the coin will be here also tomorrow.

Still the movement of btc is crucial it is playing with emotions now

I still think we will need 2 more weeks or so, to see the break out, which, by the way, is going to be upwards.

One thing is for sure "the markets will still be there tomorrow" and the next day...

which, by the way, is going to be upwards.

Like your positive attitude!

It is easy to fall into the trap but it will drive you crazy. What I do, is sit on my hands or go for some very long walks...

I have a buddy who's wife is doing the day trade thing in a TON of cryptocurrency. I think they had like 80 different coins at one point and were trading a bunch to get it down to around 30 or so. I told them I can't see how people can do that. They just sit there and start at live graphs and charts of coin prices and volumes moving up and down.
I tried the whole stock market thing years ago before Bitcoin was even really a thing and I hated the stock markets. I made massive losses with that.

Speaking of videogames.

Are you familiar with a nifty device called the SD2SNES? It's a flashcart that allows loading ROMs onto an SNES cart, and through an interface makes it possible to play those ROMs on actual Super Nintendo hardware.

I'm not a fan of piracy if it's possible to purchase the original game (I'm also a collector) but some games which are hard to impossible to find, it's a great tool.

Also, in speedrunning it's almost a necessity because games - such as Mega Man X - have practice rom hacks that allow immediate stage select for any stage, as well as savestates in order to practice a particular segment.

I also tend to play even the games I own SD2SNES since it allows me to not wear out the cartridges.
