RE: 10 Steem Minimum Prize Contest - To Support @fulltimegeek's Witness Quest!

in #busy6 years ago

I think @delishtreats could be a good competitor... she does some amazing posts, so if she takes her time and aims them at engaging, then she could give you a run for your money ;) ... So keep your eyes open :D

ANd on the hardfork, I'm not expert by any means... But I have no idea how they think this is going to help bring in a "flood" of new people. I think that might be some positive spin by some of the people that are trying to hide some of the problems. Frankly, I care more about them doing things to keep people here than making efforts to bring in more. It doesn't help one bit to bring someone here and then have them leave in less than 30 days out of frustration. I'm not being negative, I'm just pointing out that retention is an issue. That isn't going to solve itself. it needs focus and support of people just like you @janton, or at least supporting people like @abh12345 to a higher degree so that HE can help people like you.

And finally, have a wonderful day... :)

howdy sir Dave! good to hear from you. I didn't know whether to do any commenting today or not as some were saying it wipes out your power so I guess I'll find out. Yes I've heard that the attrition rate on steemit is huge and that the retention rate is only 6%! So if that's true then they need to work on the platform to keep people just like you said.

I hope that isn't too logical for them. lol. Hey I'm at 460 in sp now so I'm slowly inching my way closer to Minnow status. yay!

Do you have any idea if the changes will affect the League or not?
Someone said that if everyone has a different limit on how much they can vote and comment then the League if finished because it wouldn't be fair, only the large accounts could do alot of commenting.
The system probably won't affect the Monsters will it? lol.

I think it is too logical (sadly), but they will learn one way or the other!

And no I don't think it will affect the League at all... Asher is one of those that know how important engagement is and I am fully confident that he will adjust and keep things humming along! And for the record, I don't think that people will be limited on the comments they can do like some have been thinking. Yes I think people might not be able to spam thousands of comments per day, but I would doubt it will have any impact on the people like me and you (no matter how big we are). We will see, but my hunch is that would cause an even faster rate of attrition if it did happen. Please let me know if you see it though (give it a week first)... I will make some noise if that is the case, but my hunch is we won't even notice a difference!
