I think you're quite right in your claims. I've forgotten when exactly I have joined Steem but I had a long pause in the beginning of this year - something like a month without posting a single post.

But also I had quite a success with 1 of my posts when I used the right tag following a multimedia contest themed "your country's culture & tradition". I applied with a long article enriched with my original text, photos & videos. In only 24 h I earned more than 100 $.

But then after that, even thou I've written many similar articles, I never got anywhere close to that amount. Many times I was disappointed but still I'm not giving up!
