Most polar bears live in the northern part of the Arctic continent. There are also some populations of these animals that live in the southern part of the Arctic (bay of Hudson, Manitoba, Canada). The female bears live along the north pole coast, while the male bear lives on the ice chunks floating in the sea about 180 miles from the shore.
