I've got mixed feelings this morning. On one hand I am happy to see prices on the crypto markets continuing their uptrend movement, in some cases like BCH and BAT at a staggering pace actually, but on the other I am pissed off. Steemit just implemented their wallet separation and introduced adds to the platform.
About adds I don't care at all because I am using Brave browser and am not affected at all by them, but with the wallet I have a problem. I haven't saved my posting key anywhere and the updated page doesn't accept my account's key to login. What should I do now @steemit?
I have no clue where can I download my posting key, as I saw in your official post that it is possible, to be able to access my wallet. I am posting using busy right now but I liked more the night mode on Steemit and I would have used it further...if you hadn't come with this...surprise.
I hate surprises. I hate them on my birthday, on Christmas, no matter what occasion. I like knowing things before they actually happen and I would liked a lot to know how to download my posting and other keys before you take them away from Steemit so I could do things right now. Really disappointed...

Go to Discord, you might find an answer quicker there. And they did say this will happen on the steemitblog I think. I forgot about that, too, and was as shocked last night, but I had the passwords saved. Fortunately. Good luck.

I am all about securing my funds, but how about a little user friendly functionality in the blockchain for once.
Indeed. I'm quite lazy and I like having everything at hand probably that's why I complain that much :)
However, the interface having everything "in place" will be the most used and that matters.
Use steemworld for everything except posting 😀

Yes. It worked with the account's password, the main one, and now I can enter the wallet and there's an option there to print your passwords and keys or download them as pdf file.
I only had that password saved because I was never expecting this. I don't like at all what Steemit did and how it did it...
Indeed. They put a banner across the top of the page to explain the change - AFTERWARDS!
They could have easily written a post explaining the upcoming changes, with a refresher explaining the different keys, and a warning to make sure that everyone had saved the different keys...
Once again though, they tarnish the entire Steem blockchain reputation with their dumb antics...

The wallet however has a bug. Whenever I enter it I can not return to steemit, I simply have to enter steemit.com again. I don't know why they did this wallet thing but I don't find it useful at all. It's not like it has become private, it just takes you on a longer road to your funds.
