You're completely right. Not everybody has the opportunity to change their lives in such way. If you're a mom or a dad you can't just say: Screw it, I'm done.
The more responsibility you have, the smaller you're freedom corridor... If you just act on your own and don't need to feed anybody else, you may afford a certain risk.

Quitting is always a risk since nobody can predict the future :-)
