When a new thing appears and only 5% of the people know about it, do it quickly, this is the opportunity, do it early and grasp the first opportunity. When 50% of the people know about it, you should be a consumer. When more than 50% of the people know about it, you don't even have to look at it.

Sometime we can be those 5%, but we may have a tendency to doubt and accept the new thing that appear in front of us. When people around start talking about it, be it an investment or a new technology, the opportunity has likely been gone already. So, try to be proactive and take the first-mover advantage.
