All of these companies have the same thing in common: Internet and Information Technology.

Very fast global transmission. These are extremely valuable attributes for a company today. That is the real secret.
That is why Steemit and the Wallet we have will do the same with money as these companies did with their branches.
Exactly as nobody did understand that these companies would be the biggest in the beginning. Nobody or very few understand that Steemit with their Wallet will be the biggest. Think about it, nobody can transfer money as fast and with no cost as you can from your wallet to another Steemit Wallet anywhere in the world.
Think about this:
You go on Steemit and write something (a post, a comment, a reply), vote and get paid to your wallet.
When did you get some extra money in your bank account for asking your bank about something or tell them your opinion?
And they can not even transfer money for you fast enough?
And this cost you money?
So, who will be big?
That is the real secret!

The Internet has shown us one constant, that being delta, change. Whatever the internet is, it is always changing, moving into areas we never considered, breaking records along the way, with apps becoming publicly traded companies and Facebook becoming the public digital self we project out into the world. That gives me the hope and the knowledge that STEEMIT has tremendous value. Because it is new, because it is technologically advanced and different, because it is built on a community of users and because there is money involved. The internet never neglects those ideas that have these five components. Great post 👍

It will certainly be interesting to see what the next 20 years of the human experience will bring. I certainly hope it will continue to be a place of grand laboratory of innovation. Certain aspects of this new technological world lead me to believe we have been trading with other cosmic entities that are giving us the tools to expand ourselves beyond the government regulations that have been holding us back.

The currency Steem. The company Steemit has a lot of Steem in its account @steemit. This account will increase in value if the price of Steem rises.
It is a limited amount of coins like Bitcoins? or is it like ETH?
The supply of Steem is increasing by an annual rate of about 9,5%, but this percentage decreases overtime.

We sure live in interesting times. But we also see some worrying development when it comes to net neutrality. We, the users and creators of the Internet, need to keep an active eye on the politicians and their greed for more power and control.

You missed two VERY important parts: 1. STEEMIT rewards its participants with cyber currency that is worth real money. 2. STEEMIT content is uncensorable.

Real money like physical gold & silver, we will surely know in the coming months/years, but I believe it has the qualities, although we have to define or redefine some concepts like tangibility (having gold in my hand and having a written token or phisical wallet is different for me but for future generations could be the same or even they could find more tangible the token!). I really think that is a matter of time (retaining the value in a long period of time is a fundamental quality for being considered real money, so in this point we should have to wait some time to check it).

We are in a revolutionary stage blockchain is going to change everything, i will not be shocked to here Facebook and instagram will be a thing of the past 20 years to come. Once you compare steemit to facebook, belacam to instagram , steemit and belacam will beat Facebook and instagram 10:0 respectively.
The thing is you should put your leg in what is coming to be, an error of decentralization.

Great comparison, took them all less then 20 yrs to be the giants they are. Now look at the blockchain just turning 8yrs old back in January. Seem likes we're do for a mass adoption with in the next couple of years, to keep with the rate at which technologies are adopted.
