Are the 10 Crack Commandments Relatable to Business?

in #business7 years ago

Though it’s a great rap song from the Notorious B.I.G.and provides some ground rules that one can debate will help your game if you are slanging drugs, hustling on the street, can these commandments translate into the legit business world. Are they a proper code to help you succeed or just merely outdated rap lyrics

  1. Never let anyone know how much dough you hold.
Business is a dirty game and people knowing your worth could make them jealous that you are doing better than they are. People won’t be afraid to gun for what you have if they are envious of you so they can take what’s yours or even just destroy your empire.

  2. Never let Them Know Your Next Move
Petyr Baelish from the popular book series and television show A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of thrones respectively, his rise to power is sly and cunning using manipulation tactics and ensuring that no one knows what he is going to do next. This is a critical business trait as it is always better to tread through the fog of war to keep your competitors in the dark

  3. Never Trust Anybody
Business is like a game, everyone has an agenda and our looking out for their own needs to push towards their own goals. Depending and trusting other people in the game can lead to you getting screwed or having your business get wrecked.

  4. Never get High on Your Own Supply
Success and money can come with plenty of benefits but there is a large amount of responsibility that come with it. As you climb the ladder of success you may start top get a high as you are doing big things and accomplishing your life goals. Its bets not to get ahead of yourself, life can go from 250 miles an out to 0 real fast.

  5. Never sell where you rest at
Always have a base of operations. Conducting any sort of deals or transactions at your house can open the door for all kinds of problems. Keep professional and personal life separate from each other.

  6. That God Damn Credit, Dead it
Always make sure you are getting paid up front. Cash flow problem can end a business’ life if it is not managed properly. Ensure that your accounts are paying or take acting to make sure you get your money.

  7. Keep your family and business completely separated.
Of course small transactions may be permit able but most business relations with family members can lead to disaster. You don’t want to have a weird relationship with someone because you failed to deliver on their order and had them lose millions. You’re gonna be seeing this person at parties and other family events, best keep them on your good side.

  8. Never hold no Weight on you
Big E is referring to crack in this part of the song but this can also be applied to large sums of money. All it takes is a few gangster to come up to you with big guns and steal you’re stuff. Your mutual funds and real estate properties can’t save you then and you’ll lose what’s on you. Hopefully you are working hard enough to where losing 100k is no longer an issue.

  9. If you ain’t getting bagged stay the fuck form police
We can use police as the competition in this case. If the competition isn’t trying to sue you, stay the hell away from them. No need to tell them what you’re up to or what your team is up to.

  10. A Strong Word Called Consignment
If you cant sell your inventory that you got on credit, be ready to declare bankruptcy cause they are coming for their money they don’t care what problems you had.
