Eyes on Climate Change.

With the announcement by the American president, Donald Trump, that America will be leaving the Paris accord, the eyes of the world are firmly on climate change. The decision to withdraw from the Paris accord is a very polarising issue and regardless of where you stand on it, the world is watching.

Economic mishap or opportunity?

Following the announcement, many representatives from various countries have called out to Trump because of it. China has even reaffirmed their commitment and is changing a lot in their economic outlook for China. This will see China potentially taking advantage of the situation to become leaders in renewable energy.

Renewable energy is an inevitable problem that humanity will face and many who oppose Trump are very clear on it. But what impact will this have on America and the west? Many within America are opposed to Trump's decision and many regional leaders have reaffirmed their targets, regardless of the Paris accord.

Many large corporations were also against the decision and have spoken out against it. In a Capitalist society, advancement is encouraged and I believe that this opposition is an economic opportunity for companies to rise up, despite the Paris accord.

Conlusion

So regardless of how you feel about climate change, there are major potential economic opportunities to grab hold of. This may be the most focused on climate change the world has ever been.

If you are, or know of people involved in businesses related to renewable energy, or if you have made attempts to become energy independent, please tell me about it...

The change in consumer behavior is more important that what the government say or do. Whether you believe in man made climate change or not every one is has a responsibility to care for the environment be by reusing, recycling and reducing their consumption of unnecessary products. When the corporations see there is opportunity to make money then they will follow with new products. Governments do not need to be involved .

This was such an interesting post. To reject the Paris accord also means to reject many business opportunities that could come from it. Tesla stock is raising like no other car companies', in the meanwhile, Elon Musk decides to step outside the presidential advisors. Trump didn't see it coming. Keep up with the good work. If you have time you should check out my content, you might like it. Cheers

Luckily in a capitalist system, there are innovators that will do 'plug the hole'. I very odd advantage to this is that Trump is so polarising that it will only spur on investment by people who oppose him...

I will check your stuff out...

Taxing us to death because we breath or are carbon based beings is not the solution. What needs to happen is letting the free market decide. For example, the organic movement. Eating organic is not a government mandate. It's a personal choice to eat healthier. The same scenario WILL happen with clean energy. I, personally am looking to get an electric car soon. Why? Because it makes sense now. The technology has advanced enough for me to switch over.

Riddle me this; When has government ever succeeded for a long period of time when collecting large amounts of taxes and using it for the betterment of humanity? In almost all cases, they swallow our treasure whole and regurgitate lies. Meanwhile, they give themselves immunity and ask for more taxes to feed their bloated system.

I am not a Trump fanboy, but getting out of the Paris Climate Agreement was a brilliant move. Americans WILL persevere and will innovate regardless of being taxed or not. They'll just do it faster because their not being taxed to get there.

Solar is the future. Fossil fuel interests are bribing our politicians to suppress renewable energy while they get billions in subsidies and corporate welfare. Now that solar panels are being mass produced, the new tech makes fossil fuel obsolete. Once again Republicans will line their pockets by keeping our country in the dark ages, while Asia and Europe gain a competitive advantage in the energy market.

Solar is not even 1% of our energy consumption

If energy companies owned the sun, you can bet we would be getting a lot more than 1%. New Mexico alone has enough untapped solar potential to power the entire country. Today at the gym I saw a Tesla with a solar panel on the roof, and I decided I'm not buying a Camero. Mark my words. Ten years from now, millions of people are going to be buying solar panels at Home Depot, and they will have been made in China.

Solar is only one potential avenue to explore... It probably is the most popular.

It is the most popular because this is the first time in history a renewable energy source has been able to compete with coal. Solar energy is now cheaper to create than coal, nuclear, oil, or anything else. Even if you think climate change is a hoax, solar is still the best way to make energy now.

Over at www.SolarCoin.org we have a crypto incentive for anyone with solar PV, 1 SLR = 1MWh of energy produced, its issued to solar producers free of charge. We also have unique features like real-time posting of solarPV generation data into the SolarCoin blockchain, this will make it a very valuable resource for any person, organization or nation wishing to see in real time what solar PV generation is like.
So dont worry about governments, we in the crypto-land can start managing the world on our own: https://steemit.com/environment/@scalextrix/dont-let-governments-ruin-our-planet

Yeah, I've been noticing some difference in the climate now compared to in the past. things are changing.

Interesting post.
Have a follow.

Just my opinion:

Climate change is a real thing but it is not controlled by humans and the earths temperature is exactly where it needs to be for it to survive. This Paris accord nonsense was to tax the air we breath and for the globalists to gain more control.
