In businesses usually we have a set of questions, what usually business owner answer, if he want to check his business performance. The answers help to understand efficiency of the business and realistically look on the areas for the improvement.
- Where do we buy our product? It is usually help to understand, if do we have better practises where we can buy similar product. If we do not have multi source answers, then we have to look for additional sources of information.
- What we buy/sell in our business have good quality, price and reputation? This answer will help to understand about product characteristics.
- Is business has good protection? In form of information, do we know how to look for the latest trends and have areas in business quickly to convert into customers demand. It identify flexibility of businesses.
- Do we have duplication of services inside of the business? This will help to save money by reducing doing similar tasks in business, because duplication usually waste resources and time and opportunity.
- Do we have areas of idleness? This will help to identify what areas of businesses do not produce desired results and what areas of business needed to be optimised.
- Do we use effectively all our resources? This will help to identify what resources and how being used and main answer will be, how to make them perform better.
- Do we use effectively management strategies? This will help to identify how effective businesses use measuring systems, how information flow and used, how information gathered and monitored, what the latest economic models we have built in into our business system.
That is small amount of questions business should consider to understand they performance against world standards or against they competitors. Businesses has to have some measurement control over they performance, over they efficiency and over they strategies. With this data you will be able to refresh some knowledge and find best practises to use.
