But after some time with Burst - the process is not complicated at all!
A tip for you - dont do anything with the wallet till you have the blockchain ready. The best and fastest way is to download it from the official website and then put it where it belongs...
AppData -> Roaming -> BurstWallet -> burst_db
Then it is working perfectly with no crashes at all!
So how to mine?
Probably you want to mine in a pool. The wallet is also ready for that!
To mine you need to have some Burst in your wallet. You can get them in the Burst Faucets. As faucets are still probably down I will send you some Burst to get you started with the mining!
Just write your Burst wallet below!
After you click on Start mining on your wallet...
You have to change reward assigment.
To passphrase you put your wallet passphare. To recipient you will put Burst wallet of the pool. They always have it on their sites. So if you want to mine on m.burst4all.com they have the burst adress on top of the website - as every other pool.
What is AWESOME is that if you already plotted something you can mine and plot more at the same time! And after next plotting is done, it is automatically added to your mining capacity!
One more tip. If you dont know if your plots are completed correctly and you dont know if they are working, you should download plotschecker. The link and tutorial how to use it is here: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/348/plotschecker
So as you can see, it is not that hard!
So put your Burst adresses below if you want to mine!

Burst is fun you can buy assets (and make them) that will give a return and even have a shop, or mine, all built into the wallet.
Bookmarking, maybe I should give mining Burst a chance. But why Burst and not something else?
I would say because it uses your HDD, but not your GPU. I have not found any other coin with proof of capacity.
So if you mine for example LTC with your GPUs, you can still use your HDDs for mining Burst.
Efficiency is all that matters.

See already some plots, but when started miner, window stays open but gives a error.
And i get still message, that i have to send Burst first for a public key, but ill wait till the confirmations with the synced BC is ready.
I would say - dont do anything till the blockchain is ready. You could download the blockchain by yourself, it is the faster way.
550GB...depends on your CPU power, but in my guess that is like 5 hours.
Can you post screenshot of the error? You have to have at least one plot to start mining. If 550gb is your plot and you are still plotting, that is why it is not working. :)
Yes, your "account" is not verified till you dont send some Burst, but you really not have to!

hey so i have been mining for 3 days now but haven't seen any transactions come in. I know sometimes they put a limit on payouts, how can i check my pending "balance"? I'm using http://burst.lexitoshi.uk/
Also how can I make sure my mining is working correctly? I see my burst address on their website but i don't really know how to read my total shares coming in. Thank you in advance
With how many TBs are you mining with?
There is probably a payout limit - looks like it might be above 200 Burst.
I guess you can try to check pending payments.
If you see yourself on the website you are doing fine. The problem with these smaller pools is that they have smaller chance to get a block. So even if you see your reward and share for current block, your pool will probably not be the one who will mine that block.

Hi Eirik, trying to start mining and getting errors along the line of "Winner: error 10060" and nothing else seems to happen (lots of confirmed DL but nothing in my balance) - faucets not working so unable to join pools :(

Is it even possible to start mining without any balance? I don't think so. Join the burstnation and ask in their chat, they will give you some :)
