Bumble is getting all heated up to make a mark in India after its launch in the country. Whitney Wolfe Herd, the co-founder of Tinder was in India last week for two reasons. First, she was here to attend Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's wedding with Nick Jonas and Second, she was here for the launch of the app.

Herd, who's net worth is over $250 million, worked for tinder initially and later quit the organisation due to sexual harassment. She filed a sexual harassment lawsuit immediately after quitting Tinder.

Bumble will first launch in the big metro cities in India and then penetrate deeper in the smaller cities and towns. Priyanka Chopra is one of the investors in the app. Herd and Priyanka have been promoting the app and giving various interviews together to the media.

Bumble happens to be a "feminist based heterosexual app" for dating, friendship and professional communication where only women can make the first contact. It has 45 million subscribers in 140 countries.
