For those of you not familiar with how the BUILDTEAM tokens currently works, here is a brief overview:

BuildTeam compensates its building team and bounty hunters with BUILDTEAM tokens as a method of incentivising the development, marketing and growth of the BuildTeam network and projects. Holders of BUILDTEAM tokens are able to stake BUILDTEAM on the Bitshares DEX for a discretionary percentage of the nett STEEM cryptocurrency rewards revenue from the various official projects on the BuildTeam network.

The semi-monthly distribution process, distributes STEEM on a proportional basis depending on how many BUILDTEAM tokens each participant has staked.

BUILDTEAM tokens were never sold in a crowdsale, nor are they available for sale directly to the public and can only be earned via direct time and effort contributions to the official BuildTeam project network.

BUILDTEAM can however, be bought and sold by anyone on secondary markets on various exchanges such as Bitshares and Steem Engine.

What's NEW with HIVE!

As of the 1st of May 2020, BUILDTEAM will now distribute HIVE in addition to STEEM. Certain BuildTeam products such as DLease.io list both cryptocurrencies and as such, discretionary profits from each chain will be distributed to the corresponding Steem and Hive accounts of the BUILDTEAM token vested stakeholders.

This news could not have come at a better time, coincidentally we recently completed this upgrade just before the HIVE token price pump to over 0.90 USD as of today, pricing in postive market sentiment of the recent HUOBI listing and giveaways, coupled with the Binance announcement that it will list Hive today as well.

Make sure you stake some BUILDTEAM tokens on the Bitshares DEX to get rewarded in HIVE on this upcoming distribution.

How to purchase and Stake BUILDTEAM tokens

Note that most active orders are on the Bitshares DEX, as currently staking only occurs there. BUILDTEAM has a Bitshares (BTS) currency pair, so you will have to first acquire BTS. The easiest way to do this is to purchase BTS on one of the supported exchanges, such as Binance, Huobi or Bittrex and then send over the BTS to your Bitshares wallet address.

Once you have loaded your Bitshares wallet you can then purchase BUILDTEAM on the DEX.

To stake BUILDTEAM tokens, simply send the amount of BUILDTEAM tokens you want to vest to the buildteamvest Bitshares account, with your Steem/Hive account name in the memo field. The amount you send is how much will be staked.

Please ensure you have the same account name on HIVE as you do on STEEM so you can earn double rewards.
