We have always had a common as it is proper and the legal way to do things, but with the change in the SBD peg it caused a massive increase in demand using small bids which created technical issues due to the rate limiting and rounding errors of Steem.

I re-enabled comments recently and it is not something we will change because someone doesn't like them.
