hahahahaha😀👍 @buildawhale you made my day with this reply.
ROFL !!!! :-D
I must say that your post was not even comparable to the comment you got in-terms of the level of enjoyment :)
Lagi ajak serius ini
It's cool. I take you seriously.
Itu keren. Aku serius
?
just so you know, it's seeing whales post shit like this that make people want to leave steemit. not the spam. want to know why the price of steem can't seem to come back up with the rest of cryptos? this is it. this guy is simply asking about your services @buildawhale. What you just gave is called "bad customer service". What happens to companies that have bad customer service? yeah, think about it.
What you talking about, Steem is coming back faster than most any other crypto and in fact is 500% higher than it was months ago.
As for this like this, he spoke 80% English then some "Gibberish" and basically looked like a spammer. I deal with hundreds of messages a day, most of them are spam, a good portion is people complaining they didn't get a vote when they did, and a portion complaining they didn't get 500% ROI. About 5 out 100 are anything meaningful.
If you can see how it can be taken that way, you haven't been here long enough. Plus it was funny.
so your buildawhale?
yes, it is my project.
why don't you pay the % earned on a bid. I gave 10 STD and you send 0.0001 also I sent 3 STD another time and you sent nothing and I had a percentage gain each time. I'm new here as you know and this is not right unless you have a good answer
It's cool @akmal1. I don't think @buildawhale knows kek about which club to join either. Unfortunately our very ignorant friends are making fun of your English and don't understand that you're probably Indonesian.
Sayangnya teman-teman kita yang sangat bodoh mengolok-olok bahasa Inggris Anda dan tidak mengerti bahwa Anda mungkin orang Indonesia.
Ignorant because I don’t understand something that looks like English but some in an unknown language in there? Sorry I don’t speak every language on the planet. It was 80% English so figured it was some spam gibberish
All I had to do was go read his blog.
BTW, have you considered changing the algorithm for @buildawhale? I think instead of trying to maximize the number of bids made pr round, you could find a way to maximize the potential profit for each round. maybe by creating a type of bell curve in which bids made early and late in the voting round are granted less vote power from the bot than those in the middle? And by closing out bids once 50% (or at least less than 75%) of the bots total vote value has been reached? You can make it so such a bot only grants votes to posts made in the first 8 hours. Set the minimum bid to 5 SBD. Bye bye spammers. I think people would put bigger bids into such a bot, and would probably use it exclusively. hell, might force all the other bots to adopt a similar style. You know? Put the power back into the people kind of thing? maybe I'm myself ignorant of how these things work. but hey, thought I'd throw that out there.
As for this language thing, Steemit is international and people are going to have to find ways of getting past that. I used Google Translate. Love you @themarkymark.
I'm not going to google translate every comment especially one that is 80% English already or go read the blog of every comment. I get hundreds of comments a day. I read every one, but I'm not going to go to everyone's blog or translate things that look like English word salad. If it was a meaningful comment, I meant nothing by it, but I do what I can with the time I have.
Bots are already abused as cash machines, they are promotional tools, not cash registers. Where in the world do you expect someone to promote your product and give you all your money back and then some and your asking for 50% more?
I pay over $80,000 a week in Steem Power leases, I'm not going to take a loss so it can abuse it even more.
I have noticed a huge reduction in spam when I stopped sending things to SteemCleaners and just blacklisted the worst offenders.
I hear ya. You have a big job to do and I'm sure you're doing well at it. I'm not really trying to critique you, and to be fair I've studied afrikaans which actually shares similar words, and so I didn't find his comment to be "word salad". And I understand not everyone has time to read every blog, but I do feel that a lot of what happens on Steemit is just people upvoting only the content they think will give them the best curation. Unfortunately, while you fight spam on the back end, I find that there's an entirely different kind of spam right in the Trending category, where popular posts are only really made popular because large steem power holders are the only ones who can afford to properly pay bots to get their posts into that category. Everyone else just makes them even more popular, not because the content is "good", but because they are all fighting for the big curation reward that come from being the first to "discover". what a crock since anyone can actually create a bot or go to steemfollower and have their account automatically upvote such content. It's my opinion that if someone took a more "philanthropic" approach to an upvote bot people might find that there are indeed ways to "build a whale." I seriously believe none of these spam accounts that you fight would ever make it into the Trending category. And yet this is exactly where I feel I see the most "spam". Honestly. because there are no "angel investors", and because whales are busy concentrating their efforts on closing doors rather than opening them, overall I think this will hurt steemit in the end. IMHO
People are upset bots are used to promote garbage, I have tried to stop it since I started the project, but apparently doing it on the sidelines going through the supported means wasn't public enough. So I started a more aggressive and public approach.
Doesn't matter if he is on trending or not, he is diluting the value of Steem and creating even more bloat on the platform.
I can't deal with the abuse people like Sweetsssj's abuse as I have no power to do anything for that sort of abuse.
I can deal with things I have the power to do something about.
You know, I've been thinking about that exact issue. Flagging holds a particular psychological effect, and you know, I just learned last night that Ned Scott has an educational background in economics AND psychology. Would you be surprised if I told you that you've become "addicted" to flagging? Or that most Steemians are addicted to Steemit? To me this explains a lot of the stress and anxiety over payouts. It might explain the incessant spamming.
I know about Sweetsssj's abuse, as well as most of the others. This is why you have my support, because I can see you wield some power here, and you're using it for good, which seems to be a minority here.
But it almost seems you're trying to buck the entire system as it was designed. I'm pretty sure Ned and the rest of Steemit Inc couldn't care less about the abuse, because they know they designed the system to actually reward the largest stake holders, regardless of the content added to the blockchain. The system is design so that as long as any content is added, it generates tokens. This idea of "subjective proof of work" is actually nonsense, sense it takes close human scrutiny to determine quality, and that's not something you can "design" into a system. Instead, they've played off the idea that you're "supposed" to add quality content, but only for psychological reasons.
