Seems to me, that a new Covid mutant that creates economic stoppages ought to increase the value of BTC overtime, given that we know central banks always seem to react to these stoppages with more QE/MMT. I suppose the sudden downturn in most cryptos has to do with short-term inflows and outflows, margin trading, AI trading, etc. But long-term, bad news on the Covid front should be positive for BTC. I'm interested to hear your opinions on this, please comment below.
Overall I would agree, but the reality is we just have to get this damn thing under control so that life can continue in a regular manor. AKA more people need to get the vaccine, in my opinion.
Yea of course, the vaccines are really important. But the fear now is that the new variant is able to penetrate our vaccine. At the end of the day, if this new mutant is a thorn for governments, it will ultimately result in more money printing, which should - imo - inflate BTC.
