NYC Humidity Increases Today & Eyes On Gulf
Good morning everyone. After a comfortable day yesterday, things will start to become warm again, then hot for a little while as we go on. Meanwhile in the tropics, both disturbances have become viable enough to eventually become tropical storms, and possibly even stronger as they eventually enter the Gulf.

Look for clouds and sun today, increasing humidity, and highs in the mid 80's. We'll remain dry all day, so make sure those plants are watered.
Your weekend remains looking very warm to hot, with upper 80's to near 90 both tomorrow and Sunday. Expect the slight chance of a thunderstorm each day, with the "better" of the slight chances being on Sunday as the moisture increases throughout the area.
Monday and Tuesday also remain looking very warm to hot, and Tuesday being the more humid day. Highs will be in the upper 80's to near 90. A few spots on Monday may crack 90 depending on the wind profile.
I'm going to continue to hold off Wednesday and beyond at this point due to the tropical activity. Anything entering the gulf and influencing the weather in the southeast, could indirectly change the course of things up here temp-wise.
As far as the tropics are concerned, what looked weak in the western Caribbean off of Central America yesterday, became more organized yesterday evening and overnight. This gives both that system, and the one east of the Leewards, a chance to become tropical storms and beyond.
Both will interact with their prospective landmasses in the area, so we'll have to wait and see how much interaction occurs, and how organized they are when they hit the Gulf. The Gulf is notorious for rapid intensification, but we'll cross that bridge when or if we get there. So far, the timetable seems to be some time between Monday and Wednesday that we need to begin to watch these systems for the Gulf if they survive.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
