We live in a world full of people who are always seeking to better themselves. This is why we have so many people who try to find someone who is trying to better themselves. When you live a life trying to please others, you quickly find that you don't live a very big life at all. You get caught up in the daily grind of trying to please everyone else and before you know it you are complaining about the lack of money and the difficulties of raising children.
The best way to live is to stop trying to change other people's lives for them. When you work to make someone else successful you are really trying to stop yourself from becoming successful. If you are successful in helping them, then you will be more successful yourself. When you live a life striving to please others, you quickly find out that you are not a very good person at all. You become self- critical and depressed because you realize that you have been doing everything wrong.
People often think that they should set their own lives straight but the reality is that when you are living a life you are trying to please others, you rarely set your own life straight. People often think that if they just follow the rules of society or if they are nice to everyone they will be accepted. In fact this is never true. To be accepted you must do things that are out of the ordinary. When you are living a life striving to please others and you never do things out of the ordinary this is where people will criticize you.
Unfortunately if you are doing things that are out of the ordinary you are labeled as a quitter. You will immediately find that you won't be accepted into many social groups because you are not part of the group. Quitters are not wanted around the office, in the church, on a jury, etc. Quitters are simply not wanted.
