Reason For Brighton vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips
Brighton’s unbeaten run may have come to an end at Old Trafford on Saturday, but they can be very proud of the performance they put in against Manchester United. To be fair to them, they were actually the better side for much of the game, and rather than sitting back and parking the bus, they actually gave their hosts a good go. In the end an own goal resigned them to a 1-0 defeat, but the performance was a very promising one.
Prior to that, The Seagulls had won two and drawn three of their last five Premier League games, and now they come into a very winnable match against a Crystal Palace side who remain rock bottom of the table.
The Eagles did manage to end their winless run at the weekend though, coming from behind to beat West Brom 2-1, to give them their first three points since that shock victory at home to Chelsea in October.
Between these two wins they have lost three and drawn two, but worryingly every single one of their eight points this season have come at Selhurst Park. On the road they have lost all seven of their competitive matches, although to be fair to them they have had to play Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Spurs in that period.
As you would expect, Palace have struggled to find the net away from home this season, but a lot of that recent failure is down to the quality of their opposition. Since Roy Hodgson came in they have managed to score in six of their 11 competitive games, and they will fancy their chances against this Brighton defence.
The hosts have only kept one clean sheet at home this season, relying more on their attacking quality to win them points. They have scored eight and conceded seven at The Amex Stadium, picking up a total of nine points from a possible 18.
This makes a Both Teams to Score bet look a very good value offering on Tuesday, so that’s what we’re backing. Brighton have been good enough recently to take all three points as well, so we’re going for a 2-1 correct score predictions as well.
