Who is Britain's new Leader?

Theresa May is Britain's new prime minister after her opponent unexpectedly dropped from the race. May will now lead the Conservative party and will have to prove herself to her much critical government. But Government aside, her first real challenge is the Brexit and the turmoil that it created. Due to the country's difficulties with the decision of leaving the EU, the Brexit leaders are now pushed aside and May is left with an enormous pressure to start the departure from the EU. Her other concern is the investors; May will need to calm them down as they sent the GBP to its lowest since Margaret Thatcher.

In addition to these concerns, politicians are skeptical about her abilities as she lacks charisma other members of the parliament has, but May replied with a "no gossip" policy as she just wants to do her job. She may find it a bit more complicated than she thinks as she will need to negotiate with EU leaders whom will probably push her to start the Brexit process. The other concern is the possible recession that may occur as a result of the referendum.

May intends to have a calm and responsible term with as much political stability as possible. She also stated she doesn't intend to start the Brexit talks right away. This decision will give her time to learn the system, make alliances and try to have informal talks.

I think a lot will depend on the state of the rest of the EU - they are in distress at the moment with the Italian banking crisis and the crisis with Deutsche bank - if the eurozone goes back into recession they arn't going to want to get into a trade war with the UK which is one of the few countries with a healthy consumer society.
