Trancoso - Bahia
According to Brazilian history books, as soon as the Portuguese sighted Mounte Pascal, they shouted "land view". The historical and cultural importance of this region is such that in 1999 it was declared a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Trancoso has become one of the most sought-after places in Bahia! Luxury resorts and fashionable parties live in harmony with the hippie atmosphere that emanates from the town.
The highlight is always the beaches! Visit Praia dos Coqueiros, in the most central part of Trancoso, Praia de Itapororoca, which can only be reached on foot, Ponta de Itaquena, which is in an environmental preservation area, and Patimirim, a safe destination for surfers and adventurers. You can also head to Praia dos Nativos to enjoy the cool, shallow wate
I've known Trancoso for almost 10 years now, I've been living here for 4 years and I really like it. It's not the partying that attracts me, it's more the nature that enchants me and makes me want to stay here again and again. My husband and I have travelled a lot, but the place that has captivated us is this one.
Our life is reduced to living each moment as if it were the last carpe diem
In order to go to the neighbouring town to go to the bank or to the commune or to consult a specific and cheaper doctor, we have to take a boat because there is no land route to get there.
Along the coast, there are lots of small fishing boats like this one
Not forgetting our beautiful blueheeler, Shiva <3
