What's up everyone?
I'm going to go into a little bit about myself with this entry.
As the title says, I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder two years ago. What is that you ask? Well, I'm going to tell you.
Borderline personality disorder is a mental illness. People with borderline personality disorder experience intense feelings of anger, depression, and anxiety that can last a few hours to days at a time.
Mine manifests in apathy, depression, and anxiety. I also have my fair share of angry episodes.
It is treated with a varying degree of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds.
It is also treated with DBT therepy.
I have tried numerous pharmaceuticals, but the only thing that has truly been working for me is DBT.
I am currently four months into my DBT skills training and therapy sessions. Things are better with the skills I have been learning but, I know I still have a long way to grow.
I have come to accept that I have BPD and it will be a constant thing I have to battle. However, with DBT skills, I feel I have more tools in my toolbelt to deal with my emotions.
Thank you for reading everyone!
I hope you find today a good day for you. Use your skills and make the most of your moments in life.

I think that I have the same illness because I feel that I change so much thoughout the day as if I am a lot of persons at the same time, sometimes it's good because such people I think have good fantasy, but sometimes I am tired of being like that and I like the stability. When I understand that we are people and we can be different I feel better. ☺
I right here with ya man!
Thank you for commenting.
I have a friend who has BPD. I myself have CPTSD.
I believe there is a stigma with regards to BPD. I hear a lot of people talking about how BPD people can be, emphasis on can be narcissistic. While I believe we can ALL be narcissistic, I don't see how BPD relate to NPD. While both are personality disorders, one is a group of kind individuals, and the other manipulators. NPD and BPD should not be categorised together in my opinion. I've reasearched narcissists a long time now, since my CPTSD is due to a Narc who also happens to be a Secondary Psychopath.
I think there is much that is misunderstood with regards to Borderline Personality Disorder and ever since my friend opened up to me that that is what he has, I have been trying to research more about it.
Thank you for sharing this post, and I hope to see more int he future. It is very courageous of you to share openly and I encourage you to continue, because for me it has proven to be quite liberating :)
Yes, that is why I am sharing this. It gives me a sense if normalcy getting it out there and practicing radical acceptance and accepting reality.
Thank you for the great comment and for reading.

You are welcome!
I'm focused on getting myself in a better frame of mind. Sharing and being social with others helps build community and gives one a sense of satisfaction.

Hey buddy!
Hope you'll alright!
I suggest getting rid of medications, but take it slowly.
I'm not a doctor, just an ordinary person.
I already stop taking medication for more than a decade now.
I experienced nervous breakdown between 2002-2003 and it happened 3 times. My doctor told me to maintain a medicine for life but I didn't take it seriously. I gradually eliminate those medications until I no longer take them. I guess I know more about my self than my doctor.
I'm am slowly coming off the medications, with doctors help.
I'm down to my lowest doses. I am feeling it, but in the long run, I need off of them.
We're not going to have the best insurance here soon and I don't want to be stuck on high doses of meds I can't afford.
Yeah.
Would you mind watching this:
Just ignore if you don't like it.
