RE: Bloodied and beaten... Eubank Jr proves he is a warrior, but no World-Class boxer (yet)

in #boxing7 years ago

Eubank Jr. has a lot of talent and I was expecting him to perform better. His fight against Saunders was very competitive and Eubank Jr. was really coming on at the end. If it had been a 15 round fight, Eubank Jr. would have had a very good chance of winning.

Given how well Saunders did against Lemieux, I gave Eubank Jr. a lot of credit as a fighter. Clearly, he has not taken his game to another level like Saunders has. Nonetheless, he does have talent and if he's willing to do the work, he can still do very well in boxing and potentially win a world championship.

His father was a special fighter in his day. I remember his battles with the fearsome puncher Nigel Benn.

Good points Eubank Jr has started slowly both times he has stepped in class & this time George Groves didn't really give him an opportunity to get back into the fight like what happpened against BJS

I am running a new competition for boxing predictions, there is a SBD Bounty Reward for everyone who can pick the results in 3 fights each week.

I could really use the help of boxing fans on steemit to make it a success so please enter by reading and commenting on this post

Good points. Even Snr had his vulnerabilities, but he was such a durable guy he could pull through at the world level. I hope Jr gets a proper trainer.

Yes he did, but he was a brilliant boxer and was extremely hard to beat in his prime. He remained unbeaten for quite awhile even though he fought top-notch competition. I've been a boxing fan all my life but wish more of today's boxers were willing to embrace challenges. I understand that boxing is a business and fighters need to make the most amount of money possible during their short careers, but I do feel that some of today's boxers are unduly risk averse.
