So I just got myself a new 4k TV and a pretty little XBOX ONE X with two controller.
The problem: Most of these games these days can only be played with one player or against people on the internet.
However I want to play against someone on my coach. In this case specifically my wife asked me to play with me.
She does not like shooters very much. In the past we liked to play racing games together but the new forza game i got again cannot be played with two and a split screen.
So I am looking for good games I can play together with my wife.

You could try forza horizon 2, it's older but the have a Xbox one version. Or try something like trackmania turbo is another decent split screen racing game. Otherwise overcooked is better than it sounds, watch some videos and see if it's something you guys might like. Those and rayman legends is fun too, kind of a shooter but not first person or at all like call of duty or halo.. hope this helps

Actually I think you would be better of with a Nintendo console - It's probably way more suitable for your needs of playing together on one TV. I have played it with 5 year olds as well as with 70year olds - All had fun!

Yea i am sure u are right. But wife playing with me is more an added bonus. But this may he actually an option to add.
I enjoy the 4k quality too kuch to not have the xbox be my 1st choice
I wouldn't let my wife take away my HD Fifa from me as well. But since the Wii for example should be quite cheap to get, it may be a nice choice as second option.
However I have to warn you - I have heard rumors that Mario Kart for example destroyed friendships and marriages :P

I enjoy fighting games a lot so maybe Killer Instinct afaik you can download the "demo" for free from the store and if you like it you pay for the other characters.

Rocket league is the best game, but there is a pretty steep learning curve to get good. Thats why I didnt mention it in my post. Its really one of the only games I play regularly..
I think #FIFA_2017 is the best game to play you and your wife together.

Interesting to see the bounty system being tested @knircky! I would recommend Portal 2 - it's from 2011, but I think it is backwards compatible, so it should work on the One X.

The new XBOX ONE X looks really pretty, but while reading through, this really got me....

you could play injustice 2 or mortal combat x on xbox one x with your family these games are pretty awesome and you don't need xbox live for them i actually play on ps4 and actually you could play rocket league too
