If you decide to go hiking on Bosnia's mountains, be assured that you will not be at all disappointed, nor will your general impression remain incomplete. The trails will connect you with a warm and hospitable people, allowing you to explore the food, the music and the old-world heritage that still exists in this corner of Europe.
Being situated in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula, Bosnia and Herzegovina and its mountains have been situated throughout history on the crossroads of different civilizations that have left their characteristics. The most striking remnants of the past are necropola known as Stećak - [stetɕak] - monumental medieval tombstones from the Middle Ages that can be found even at altitudes near 2,000 m AMSL (above mean sea level).
I like this picture, but you can barely see this mountian that you talk about. It's just a light shadow in the image - I wonder if that's on purpose. Perhaps you are trying to entice us to go there in person, with such a fleeting image and your flowering description!
