Over the last few days I've begun putting together a list of books I would like to purchase and read over the next 5 to 10 years. Currently the list is comprised of book recommendations from Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, along with various other contemporary entrepreneurs and widely influential people . Along with these recommendations I've added a few books about the food industry I have found from my own independent research. Examples of some of the books on my list are:
- Zero to One
- Meals to Come: History of the future of food
- Food in Global History
- The Lean Startup
- Food Industry R&D: A New Approach
- Good to Great
- Built to Last
- How Asia Works
- The Science of Success
- Our Final Invention
- Super Intelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies
- Many more..
In order to ease in to reading these books and increase my overall interest I've begun listening to a pod cast that discusses some of them, highlights the main point, and mentions important things to take away from the books. The podcast I am currently listening to may be found here.
If you find yourself reading this article, I am open to book recommendations from the Steemit community and would love to hear some of the books that may have played a significant role in your life.
A majority of the books on the list can be found as audio books and I look to gather links to them In order to lower the barrier of entry. I was working on this list on my own and I asked myself "Why not share this on Steemit?", "I wonder if other people would be interested in this" so I decided to make a post and share what I'm up to! With that being said, if you have any ideas I'd love to hear them below.

I've decided to start the journey with the book "Zero to One". I'm looking forward to begin reading books from this list!

I find my "books to read" pile is getting out of control. I try to give away books when I'm done with them, but even so the house just keeps getting more crowded.
You're correct, I am looking for a number of business classics. I am also interesting in food industry history & strategy as well as artificial intelligence use. I'm so excited for this list I finished listening to "Zero to One" last night! Lol

Great post! I just finished the recent biography of Elon Musk and it was a page turner with valuable insights throughout. I highly recommend it if you haven't read it. Do you know of any other outstanding biographies about important business figures?

Sounds like something I'd love to read. The first biography I read was about a year ago I think. It was called The Power of Broke by Daymond John
