Bolu or sponge cake (English: cake) is a flour-based cake (generally wheat flour), sugar, and eggs. Sponge cake and cake are generally cooked by baking in the oven, although there are also steamed cakes, for example: steamed bunu or steamed brownies. The icing of icing cream from butter (buttercream), fondant, or marzipan is called a tart cake.
