I rode a taxi going to the town last week, it was a peaceful ride until the cab driver started whining about how ugly the road is, the scattered plastics along the sidewalks and how expensive it is to live now. He pointed to me, “Did you observed those hanging banners of candidates during the election times? Those big smiles on their lips and their visions were written in big fonts? It is all a jokes, right? Why they still not solve even the simple problem in our community? The garbage is everywhere?” he said almost angry.
I almost believe him, until he continued saying “That is why I did not vote because I do not trust those candidates anymore. People you don’t vote are the ones who win.” At the same time, he opened a candy and threw the wrapper outside the window. I almost burst into laughter. Funny how we complain about the incompetence of the people who run our government, yet we do nothing about it.
Believe it or not, it is us or the community who is running the government, not the officials, because it is us who put them in the position to serve us. If we screw up in our choice, then it is only we who are going to suffer. Some might say I am too young to know what I am talking about, but if we have no faith in any vow or deed, then the days and years that shall follow are meaningless despite the wisdom that we bear. Stay involved and help our leaders help us.
We, as a part of the community, let us stop complaining things. We complain about floods? We complain about the scattered plastics and garbage’s around us. Hey, try to discipline yourself then. By simply practicing proper disposal, we can be a help to solve those problems. Let us be mindful of our own trash.
Simple things you do will make big changes around us.
Sadly, this begins by rising children. Problem is, that parents are more benevolent and allow children more, because in most cases children bother their own lifestyle. I can say if from my own point of view. I am now leading a sport club gym, that one, in which I am for years and I was trained too. Back then, there was absolutely different morale, we wanted to be the best. Now if I see the bored faces, ignorance and so, I almost want to give up ... But that is another sotry. Point is, the more "free" the children are, the more lazy and "bad" they will be. The more they will complain about anything but will not do anything for themselves, because they never had to. Discipline is something that needs to be raised in the child from beginning. And that is not happening anymore, sadly.
Probably yes. I agree that it's all about discipline. It's really the parents responsibility to teach the child while they're still at a very young age and of course, with the help of the people around him or her.
