The assets of large exchanges that no longer exist, such as Bitrex, and other large accounts that no one claimed, will be burned with the next hard fork, which is planned within a few months. This will significantly decentralize the funds. Most of these accounts are inactive or their owners don't have the keys.
The Socialgraph account belongs to the founders. The rest don't pose a significant threat. Importantly, we have data showing that the stake is slowly decentralizing, as most of these accounts support the entire community equally.
Of course, there's much work to be done here, which is why we're calling on people to participate with us in the project and help decentralize it further. From your perspective, you should also care about the Blurt project. Firstly, Blurt is one of the most active tokens, for example, on HE, and secondly, our experience with approaching the topic from a completely different perspective may be useful to you as well. Ultimately, Blurt was created by users who were disappointed with Hive/Steem.
I personally encourage you to revive your account with us and see the differences. I think you'll see for yourself that Blurt is a promising project; it just needs more people to believe in it.
