When Binge Watching TV Series Blurs the Lines Between Fiction and Reality

I am taking a break from writing about my usual subject matter, anything that speaks out against the Tyranny's of Western Civilization. So I am going to try something different and blog about normal everyday shit!

I like most people today love binge watching episodes of A favorite TV series. Though I will admit I don't have the most mainstream taste's for an over 40 year old male. I find that after a long binge of my favorite series my mind starts to think as if I was a character in the show of whatever it is I'm binging on. I than have to struggle all day when I speak out loud, with an extra filter in place so I am not seen as an eccentric lunatic.

So I just binged on 3 seasons of "The Borgia's" from SHO Time and currently on Netflix. It's a Drama about Rodrigo Borgia who became Pope Alexander the 6th and it's an incredibly colorful show. Sex, Violence, the usual late 14th century fare. When I was at work the other day and someone happened to bark at me about a job task my first reply was almost," I am the Vicar of Christ! How dare you address me in such a manner!". When someone happened to be disagreeable later that day I was like, You will bend the knee and yield to the Holy See you heretic bastard!

The time before that it was Spartacus , I just got done binging on 4 season's of ancient Rome with Gladiators and Aristocrats struggling in epic battle's and when I accidentally tripped on something in the grocery store the first thing I almost screamed was,"Jupiter's Cock!" I had a little misfortune at work when a drill wouldn't cooperate and it was,"The gods have seen it fit yet again to spread cheeks and jam cock in ass!"
Though working on a construction site I don't think anyone would have noticed.

Batiatus - The Best Lines From Spartacus

With season 8 of "Game of Thrones" I am sure to have another struggle where binging and reality are hard to separate. The next time I win in a battle of wits with someone I will be like,"The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword". The next blog post I write about that government Tyranny may even include a line such as,"The powerful have always preyed on the powerless. That’s how they became powerful in the first place." After second thought I might let that one slide and claim it as my own work!

Excellent taste, I enjoyed your post so much. I'm waiting for my son to be a bit older and hopefully enjoy Spartacus. The Batiatus line I like to quote is 'the gods piss on us again', exactly my feeling when cryptos go into red..

Thank you Lady Becca, you are too kind. I think if Batiatus had an American accent his lines wouldn't have quite the same punch, I always wondered if people Fake American accents like they try to fake British Accents in the U.S. I think Spartacus had the best script dialogue than any series I've watched season 2 with Gannicus the prequel was my favorite.
