Berserkers were old ethnic German & Scandinavian warriors who build up a primal animal rage in a ritual called "Berserkergang". They tried to imitate animals like bears, wolves, and boars, for that reason they also lived extended periods of time in the forest.
They were outlaws as they lacked manners and were pretty easy to enrage. In battle, they went in first in a furious rage not really feeling pain.
