How low do we need to fall to know that we are dying?

¿Qué tan bajo necesitamos caer para saber que estamos muriendo?

Many times I questioned that question during my time of decline, I thought nothing was still so bad. I rambled for so long during the endless nights of lamentation that plagued every part of my mind. Countless days passed while I was losing the battle and without realizing the abyss I feared so much was already drowning me.

Muchas veces me cuestioné esa pregunta durante mi tiempo de decadencia, pensé que todavía nada estaba tan mal. Divagué por tanto tiempo durante las interminables noches de lamentos que aquejaban cada parte de mi mente. Incontables días transcurrieron mientras iba perdiendo la batalla y sin darme cuenta el abismo al que tanto temía ya me estaba ahogando.

At first I did not understand it clearly, because my eyes were blindfolded by the hands of apathy. I needed to cross the threshold of death for a few moments to know how wrong I was for a long time, it was there, in that place so fatal and cold in which my soul was separated from my body forever where I had an Epiphany; life was much more than pain and suffering.

En un principio no lo entendí con claridad, púes mis ojos yacían vendados por las manos de la apatía. Necesité cruzar el umbral de la muerte por unos instantes para saber lo errado que estuve por mucho tiempo, fue allí, en aquel lugar tan funesto y helado en el que mi alma se separaba de mi cuerpo para siempre donde tuve una Epifanía; la vida era mucho más que dolor y sufrimiento.

In that revelation I observed different situations, moments and people. I noticed as a mere spectator more in the distance those humble but precious details of my life, which I ignored and passed by. I also witnessed how the darkness dragged me to have me under its funeral mantle, all those chances I had to see the light and instead I ignored it.

En aquella revelación observé diferentes situaciones, momentos y personas. Noté como un simple espectador más a lo lejos esos detalles tan humildes pero preciosos de mi vida, los cuales ignoré y pasé de largo. También presencié como la oscuridad me arrastró hasta tenerme bajo su manto fúnebre, todas aquellas chances que tuve para ver la luz y en cambio hice caso omiso.

As difficult as it may seem, however complicated or painful they may be. Things we can always get up.

Por más difícil que parezca, por más complicado o dolorosa que estén las. Cosas siempre podremos levantarnos.

I ran, I ran away.

Corrí, huí.

I preferred to excuse myself, I decided to shield myself.

Preferí excusarme, decidí escudarme.

I never confronted my demons and just lived with them while absorbing my essence completely. While debating on a floor between life and death, I realized that everyone on this earthly plane possesses the necessary strength to overcome.

Nunca confronté a mis demonios y simplemente conviví con ellos mientras absorbían mi esencia por completo. Mientras debatía en un suelo entre la vida y la muerte fue cuando comprendí que todos en este plano terrenal poseemos la fuerza necesaria vencer.

Whoever you are, no matter where you come from or the hell you've lived, each and every one of us has a flame that stays within us and that many will try to put out.

Seas quien seas, no importa de donde provengas ni por el infierno que hayas vivido, todos y cada uno de nosotros tiene una llama en que permanece en nuestro interior y que muchos intentarán apagar.

We all have the gift of laughing to silence our pain but that laughter is so powerful to overcome it completely, we can laugh at our misfortunes while we discard all the bad things to keep going, stronger than ever.

Todos tenemos el don de reírnos para callar nuestro nuestro dolor pero esa risa es tan poderosa para vencer aplacarlo por completo, podemos reírnos de nuestras desgracias mientras desechamos al olvido todo lo malo para seguir adelante, más fuertes que nunca.

We are also as radiant as the sun, we shine with our own light and we can travel our way being happy, although the storm is always lurking. We can make people around us happy because that gives us such a warm and refreshing feeling, no matter what blows we have received, we will illuminate the path and we will go through it

Además somos tan radiantes como el sol, brillamos con luz propia y podemos transitar nuestro camino siendo felices, aunque la tormenta esté acechando siempre. Podemos alegrar a quienes nos rodean porque eso nos da una sensación tan cálida y renovadora, no importa los golpes que hayamos recibido, iluminaremos el sendero y lo recorreremos.

We also have the touch of the moon. We have that grace and elegance makes us so beautiful, so enigmatic and unique no matter what the world thinks of our way of being. We will continue to be like this, if someone wants us he will appreciate that value and he will contemplate us with all the good and the bad. That mystery that lies in our being, is something that must be earned and not in an easy way. If you do not believe me, look at the moon and you will notice.

Poseemos también el toque de la luna. Tenemos esa gracia y elegancia nos hace tan hermosos, tan enigmáticos y únicos sin importar lo que piense el mundo de nuestra forma de ser. Seguiremos siendo así, si alguien nos quiere apreciará ese valor y nos contemplará con todo lo bueno y lo malo. Ese misterio que radica en nuestro ser, es algo que deben ganarse y no de una manera fácil. Si no me crees, mira a la luna y lo notarás.

In addition, we are like music, each one different in style. We express ourselves in our own way and to our liking. We are an art form that will be interpreted in the way we carry out our acts. Maybe for some we will be harmonic notes, for others we will be a deadly orchestra but whatever you are will criticize you or applaud you but in the end we will leave an indelible mark.

Además, somos como la música, diferentes cada quien a su estilo. Nos expresamos a nuestra manera y a nuestro gusto. Somos una forma de arte que será interpretada de la forma cómo llevemos nuestros actos. Quizás para algunos seremos notas armónicas, para otros seremos una orquesta funesta pero sea cual seas te criticarán o te aplaudirán pero al final dejaremos una huella imborrable.

Sometimes we may be misunderstood, misinterpreted, judged and attacked but deep down we will never lose that kindness in our souls. We will give the best of ourselves and we will not regret this because suffering, loneliness, agony, despair, frustration, disappointment and all those negative feelings will not be able to take away from us that precious gift that we carry with us.

En ocasiones puede que seamos incomprendidos, malinterpretados, juzgados y atacados pero en el fondo nunca perderemos esa bondad que hay en nuestras almas. Daremos lo mejor de nosotros y no nos arrepentiremos de ser así porque el sufrimiento, la soledad, la agonía, la desesperación, la frustración, la decepción y todos esos sentimientos negativos no podrán arrebatarnos ese don tan precioso que llevamos con nosotros.

On the other hand, no matter how many loads we carry with us or the weight that each of them contain whenever we want we can release them to lighten our journey, we just have to trust in ourselves, cry all that destroyed us and leave behind those crosses that We confine ourselves in our back. There is the strength to grow to be happy.

Por otro lado, no importa cuantas cargas llevemos con nosotros ni el peso que contengan cada una de ellas siempre que queramos podremos soltarlas para aligerar nuestro viaje, solo debemos confiar en nosotros mismos, llorar todo eso que tanto nos destruyó y dejar atrás aquellas cruces que confinamos en nuestra espalda. He allí la fortaleza de crecer para ser feliz.

Maybe we have ever felt that we are a piece of the puzzle, an imperfect piece to be exact, we think that we do not fit anywhere and they reject us for that, but ... If we look well we are in ourselves a puzzle, not a piece. We do not have to or need to fit anywhere, we just have to put together those parts that sometimes get lost or taken away from us, the result may not be the same and we end up being different but it will be better than before.

Puede que alguna vez hayamos sentido que somos una pieza del rompecabezas, una pieza imperfecta para ser exactos, pensamos que no encajamos en ninguna parte y nos rechazan por eso, pero… Si miramos bien somos en sí un rompecabezas, no una pieza. No debemos ni necesitamos encajar en ninguna parte, solo tenemos que armar aquellas partes que a veces se nos pierden o nos quitan, puede que el resultado no sea el mismo y terminemos siendo diferentes pero será mejor que antes.

And yes, we all want to love and be loved. Maybe there were people who did not value that part of you, who did not love you for who you are, they did not care about the sacrifice or what you left in their time for them, but it does not matter. That reason is more than enough to know that we have done well and that damn though life may be, it will reward us in some way. Never regret giving love, because it is infinite and powerful, more than death itself

Y sí, todos queremos amar y ser amados. Tal vez hubo personas que no valoraron esa parte de tí, que no te quisieron por quien eres, tampoco les importó el sacrificio o lo que hayas dejado en su momento por ellos pero no importa. Esa razón es más que suficiente para saber que lo hemos hecho bien y que por más maldita que pueda ser la vida, nos recompensará de alguna manera. Jamás te arrepientas de dar amor, porque es infinito y poderoso, más que la muerte misma.

Finally, always look towards the horizon, we have the best disposition to want a change. Remember that we are energy and what we are we will project in our life. "Be the best version of you" Do it for you and for you. "Do what you want, when you want it" No one imposes a lifestyle on you. Do not let others want to hurt you because out there you will find many obstacles and situations that will want to tear you down but with good spirit you will overcome it and make you invincible

Por último, siempre miremos hacia el horizonte, tengamos la mejor disposición para querer un cambio. Recordemos que somos energía y lo que seamos lo proyectaremos en nuestra vida. “Sé la mejor versión de tí” Hazlo por tí y para tí. “Haz lo que desees, cuando lo desees” Que nadie te imponga un estilo de vida. No dejes que otros quieran dañarte porque allá afuera te encontrarás muchos obstáculos y situación que te querrán derrumbar pero con buen ánimo lo superarás y te harán invencible.

All that I witnessed in those last moments and by mere fortune or caprice of fate I had the opportunity to continue here, I had the opportunity to reinvindicarme.

Todo eso presencié en aquellos últimos instantes y por mera fortuna o capricho del destino tuve la oportunidad de seguir aquí, tuve la oportunidad de reinvindicarme.

The signs are there and even the tools to save you from the abyss are, you just have to be attentive.

Las señales están e incluso las herramientas para salvarte del abismo están, solo tienes que estar atento.

I died but I had the opportunity to be reborn. And you, will you waste it?
