Interplanetary aliens would only have to be a few 100 years more advanced than we are to have the technology to get here and dominate. In evolutionary time, that is but a heart beat.

With a bit of luck, perhaps they will keep us as pets; make us wear silly hats, catch frisbees and do simple math like explaining Dirac's Equation...
