Good tagging is critical to starting out on Dtube/Steemit. This video talks about good tagging techniques for new musicians on the blockchain.
All new members have a mountain to climb when entering Steemit, musicians are no exception to the rule. I talked about how using tags nobody used is a bad way to start Steemit in a previous video. I wanted to jump deeper into the subject of tagging as a musician in Steemit.
My top 3 recent favorite tags have been,
original
originalmusic
instrumental
*piano and guitar both look really promising too. I've yet to use these tags but will use piano in the future
Using a few of these " mid range " tags will maximize views on your content when new to the blockchain. New members need every view they can get and these tags help. These tags are easy to hit trending and hot status but are not completely dead.
Steemit search bar can be used to explore steemit and track down these " mid range " tags. Type in a tag you feel relates to your work, check out if anyone uses the tag, check if it gets flooded. Base your choice of these factors when testing new tags.
Feel free to share your favorite tags for sharing music on the block chain below in the comments !
I need to thank everyone who has supported me in the past, present or future. It means the world to my art, music, content and label.
Till next time, stay creative
