Correct...even though the drone may be flying over the property boundary, it is patently illegal to "shoot it down". The airspace above your property is NOT yours...it is owned by and governed by the FAA. You can file a complaint...but you cannot "shoot the drone". Several folks around the US have discovered this as they have been required by court order to re-imburse the drone owner for compensated damages. Look it up t-beggar.

Our vacation property is in the desert at a ski resort. Mountains and tons of snow- you really are not well informed about the rest of the USA, not even the state you live in. You still continue to call a snow fall a blizzard when most of your viewers well know what a blizzard is and it makes you look like the idiot you are.
That is just it- vacation paradise for most of the down trodden people stuck living in Michigan. Do you often get to go shopping in Detroit?
