BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

As much as I love Switzerland (proud Swiss citzen here!) breakfast and brunch places here are often limited to muesli, croissants and patisseries. While there’s nothing wrong with those options, it’s nice to have different options every once in a while. 

Eggstra variety don’t hurt nobody (and yes! I am back with an egg pun, yay!).

One morning, I decided that we would pay a visit to one of Zürich’s best brunch places, Bohemia. When you think of Bohemia, think bagels with cream cheese, pancakes, and eggs benedict. Luckily enough, if you have not made a reservation (which I highly suggest for weekends) you can take any free seats by the bar instead. I liked sitting by the bar not only because you sit on high chairs close to the alcohol, but you also have a great view of the bar and the bustlin’ bartenders rushing in and out carrying all sorts of goodies.

Our feast started with a lactose-free (shout outs to all the lactose intolerants there!) latte which was brewed by their own organic coffee, Bocafé. My cup’a’day was then then followed by their Eggs Benedict with sides of hash browns and bacon. Yes, I was very hungry indeed.

Bohemia’s way of making their eggs benedict is a bit more special, what they do is that they wrap the poached egg inside Swiss farmer’s ham, instead of just layering it on top of each other.

First you have the clean neatly wrapped version. Feast your eyes.

And after once you cut into the ham and the poached egg runs freely. See the deliciousness for yourself.

This was then washed down with another lactose-free latte (their coffee is amazing!) and then sadly it was time to go! Another lovely morning spent.

If you are around Zürich and feel like a well deserved Brunch, Bohemia is the way to go! I really recommend reserving, especially on weekends. Hoping you guys are enjoying your Friday!
