Our travel continue, next stop Ban Krut 🚞🇹🇭

in #blog7 years ago

The train to Ban Krut from Huai Yang cost 7 baht / pp (barely 0,25USD) and then they also offered a mug of water, it was delayed about 40 minutes but it always are according to the "trainstationman".

The trip went in the 3rd class carriage and took about 30-40 minutes. And as always in Thailand trains, you dont have to be hungry, there are people constantly who want  to sell something to eat or drink to you.

There are stickyrice in bamboo tubes, colorful beverages in plastic bags and various dishes With meat, chicken and rice, but we sat satisfied and tried to look through the window in case there would appear a station that looked interesting as a destination for future trips.

It's always exciting to fantasize about the places you're traveling past and about what hides behind the strange and sometimes funny names. I usually write them down on the phone so they are available for later googling and exploration, just as many of our favorite places  have started to take shape before we first visit.

It was somewhere there in the excitment that we almost managed to miss our stop, and run off at the last moment, we are a bit spoiled when we're out on these local trains or buses that both drivers, conductors and sometimes even other fellow travelers have a little checkout on us, that they have over heard where we are going and nice and friendly push us out in the right direction and in the right place.

But not this time😱so we were stumbling close to making a spontaneous visit to another tiny little villlage.

We had a very good Phad Thai at first best foodplace before we started our walk to our guesthouse Siripong. Our first mission when we checked in was to fix a motorbike, and then find a laundry service because our already small selection of clothes shrunk to the almost nonexistent and we were carrying around  two bags of dirty laundry.

Now the luxury in the nice room at Django Homestay in Huai Yang is just a memory and we are now back to buckettoilets and an unprecedented smell from bad plummings, but thanks to a well-functioning fan.

It was a good dinner together with some friends, papayasallad and crispypork With kale, and then a nightly trip on the motorbike with continued exploration of somewhere to get the clothes washed, something that usually always exists in every street corner otherwise but here in Ban Krut seems to be outperformed by so-called laundriemaschines, but even if we are on a budget and very ”economic" on our travels, it's a luxury I do not want to renounce.

( look they try to hide the ”self washingmachines” in the bikestable😩)

I do not want to wash myself either with or without a washing machine, apparently there is a little princess living inside of me, side by side with the hibernated  hippie.

"...apparently there is a little princess living inside of me, side by side with the hibernated hippie." 😂😂 I love that. I can relate.
Happy travels! Look forward to your next post. :)

Ha ha😄 Thank you 🙏 ....and is it not always to sides of a coin as they say 😉🌺❤️☮️

I love Thailand. Spent a day in Bangkok. The people are friendly and, early in the morning, the girls were pretty. This was my impression until my waiter elbowed me and commented, pointing to one of the girls: "Ladyboy!" That was it for me. I stared at my meal for the rest of the time.

He he good for you, food is something you should take seriously😉
