Spectacular light displays, amazing pyrotechnics, and a peace-loving crowd who all share a love for electronic dance music, what more could you ask for!?
Since we live here in Orlando, every time EDC comes around we try to go. This year we made it happen!
Planned completely last minute and happening on the same day that @arevolution arrived home at 5am from a convention in Las Vegas, it was a miracle that we pulled it off!
The first awesome synchronicity of the night was bumping into this chick! She had a matching dress of Alex Grey's mind-blowing art.
Despite it taking an hour to get in through "will call" and a good while looking for our friends, we had plenty of time to enjoy the show.
I made my costume out of a mix match of items from my limited times going to past shows and festivals.
The shirt I made myself this year with an iron-on mandala, decorated with glitter and rinestones.
These photos speak for my quality craftsmanship since they where taken the day after the show and the artwork still looks great! 🤣
The main stage of EDC 2018 was beautiful and featured a man and woman standing together holding a heart between them. We really enjoyed the second to last set of trance music, with tear-jerking highlights!
It was a great and much needed night out. A chance to appreciate the people you are with and celebrate the beauty of life.
A few tips if you are planning to go to an event like this in the future:
• Do your best to buy tickets in advance so they can ship them to you, instead of waiting in the long line at "will call."
• Consider bringing a wrap that can function to both warm you up if it gets chilly and as something to sit on.
• Have a plan for after the show, it's over at midnight so an after party is a great way to finish the night. Some parties even offer shuttle services to avoid the madness of parking in the area.
• And of course, share your experience and write it off on your taxes as a travel blogger's business expense! 😋
Hope you guys enjoyed the post! I know I had a fantastic weekend and I'm happy to share it with all of you!
