Hi everyone, most people believe God being our Father simply means He is our progenitor. This is not incorrect but incomplete. The Greek word translated as Father is ‘pater’; it means more than being the progenitor or offspring but one who governs the mind of another by infusing his spirit into the mind of the other. A father is one who influences the mind of another to the point of redefining who that person is.

"...And will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, said the Lord Almighty." [2 Corinthians 6:18]

"I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me; when he commits iniquity, I will correct him with the rod of men and the strokes of the sons of men..." [2 Samuel 7:14]
