The setup was perfect for large scale confusion to take its foothold today, and those who blame it all on that one certain tribe have glaringly ignored the jesuits' role in all of this, and the overarching reach the Vatican had and still has when it comes to any and all political matters.
That said prohibiting by law any possible criticism against anyone in specific is outright devious, but probably just another distraction... I really have no idea.
