Water bottles.
a single 1 Liter bottle can break down in enough tiny particles to stretch a mile down the beach
With the summer season in full swing here in the Northern Hemisphere many people are finding themselves outside and active. With increased activity and hot air temperatures hydration is an important thing. I encourage you to STOP using single use plastic water bottles, and to also empower those around to you stop this nonsense. It's time to carry a refillable non-toxic plastic alternative water bottle for your hydration needs.
Single use plastics are having an incredibly detrimental impact on our environment. From poisoning and injuring marine life to disrupting human hormones. In terms of personal environmental goals; reducing single use plastic use should be one of the most important factors when evaluating your consumer decisions.
Plastic is made to last forever some sources state that plastic materials can remain in the environment for up to 2,000 years and longer. Worldwide, we have produced more plastic waste in the last 10 years than the entire last century. Many people know that plastic contaminants are in the environment contaminating our ocean water and accumulating in the sea life, but it may surprise you to hear that plastic fibers have been found in the drinking water, in both bottled water and tap waters.
Here in Alberta, they charge us 10 cents in the store for every bottle and can. You can return them at the bottle depo latter on and get your 10 cents back. Some people don't care and throw them away. Homles people collect them and earn some money that way.
Problem solved.
Simple as that.
I wish they would bring glass bottles back with deposits to force people into recycling to get the deposit back like we use to have. It is cleaner and healthier for the environment. Water gets a bunch of crap because of being in plastic but soda, milk and all kids of drinks are in plastic. I wish they were not. I try when I am out and about and need something to drink to buy stuff in glass bottles and I recycle them. But I also recycle plastic and paper too. I have very little trash as we compost or recycle most of our trash.
Yes. When I was a child everything was in glass bottles and they were with a deposit and reused. I believe reusing glass bottles is much more environmentally friendly than recycling plastic.
It is poisonous when the plastic particles flew into the sea and the sea creatures consume it before we enjoy them!
Thanks for your article hopefully many people will take notice, I myself have started using reusable water bottles it’s a very simple thing to do which can make a big difference. Cheers mike
While I certainly agree marine plastic pollution is a big problem, I prefer using those PET-bottles that can be bought pre-filled with water in the shop, for different reasons:
(Giving myself a modest upvote for better visibility)
Great And Very Informative Articles on plastics.
We must unite together to solve this issue forever.
It can not be denied again, this time a lot of beverages in containers that use plastic bottles. The use of plastic bottles increasingly prevalent in the community, seemed to have become a culture to consume the beverage in the container. Behind it all there is a surprising fact, the use of plastic bottles have a very bad impact on the environment residues. Trash bins of plastic bottles a contributor to the flood, because it can clog the flow of water that made the water overflow.
Besides plastic bottles could become a threat to environmental disaster. This is due to the decomposition of the plastic bottle can take 450 to 1,000 years. So that waste plastic bottles will be very dangerous waste. Already many countries have reduced the production of plastic bottles to beverage packaging, it is done to reduce the impact of environmental disasters arising from plastic bottles.
The dangers of plastic bottles for the environment:
Waste Plastic Bottles Can not be parsed and The Garbage piled up
The plastic bottles can not be fully decomposed, it took 100 years to be parsed. This gives a bad impact on the environment. Nearly 3 million tons of plastic waste around the world comes from plastic drink bottles that can only be used for disposal. This would be a threat to the environment.
Production of plastic bottles will deplete resource
The plastic production requires a lot of resource. 1 piece plastic drinking bottle requires at least 3 times the amount of water content contained in the bottle. use of excessive ground water resources will lead to the depletion of water discharged owned land around the factory.
The largest contributor of waste
Contributor largest waste plastic bottles into the trash biggest contributor. it is because of the total of all the production of plastic beverage bottles only half a bottle which can be recycled and the rest will end up in place of garbage. This causes the waste bottle will accumulate because it is difficult to disentangle and to be the largest contributor of garbage floating around in the ocean.

great ariticulo, the plastic material product is everywhere and are destroying our planet Beauty, We have to reach this goal because if we keep waiting for people to change and dispose of the plastic properly and responsibly, maybe we'll wait forever. we must take care of the environment
Professional!!!! Intresting posts.
very good post
Plastic is a slow poison to the society, we need technologies to reverse the effects of plastic or this planet will soon become unhabitable if people keep using plastic at this alarming rate. Recent Indonesian whales news is the proof of it. It is high time we think as a whole rather than thinking only about ourselves. In our country, the government have taken initiatives to incentivise people for depositing plastic bottles into special vending type machines, where people deposit plastic bottles in return for a little money. That's a good step too.I hope more steps like this is taken then only we will be able to kill this poison called plastic.
Plastic is one of the few new chemical materials which pose environmental problem and Plastics are used because they are simple and not expensive to make and they can last a long time but now it’s time to change.
some great information you share with us thanx and keep it up?
Yes, we have to stop using these single-use plastic completely like plastic shopping bags, plastic straws, spoons, lunch sheets, water& soft drink bottles.
And according to an estimate, by 2050 there will be more plastic in oceans than fishes.
I know guys its tough, but we have to do this!
These plastic bottles are harmful for our body
plastics are a very big problem and we really need to get rid of them.We carried a campaign on "End plastic Pollution in Bamenda. It was worth it because people now know the dangers of single used plastics which have been banned in Cameroon. Great job you are doing for mother earth
The only way you can stop plastic production entirely is to stop supporting the petroleum industry. Plastic is a by-product of refining petroleum.
The solution is to use BIODIESEL to power vehicles and any engine. Most Biodiesel is from waste vegetable oil that is collected from restaurants. Biodiesel also produces less pollution.
